Yes. Driving a rental car doesn't mean you have to avoid toll roads or pay higher rates to the rental agency. You can add rental car and loaner cars  to your Uproad account when you drive in the following states:

States where Uproad supports rental vehicles
  • Delaware (DE)
  • Florida (FL)
  • Illinois (IL)
  • Indiana (IN)
  • Kentucky (KY)
  • Massachusetts (MA)
  • Maryland (MD)
  • Maine (ME)
  • North Carolina (NC)
  • New Hampshire (NH)
  • New Jersey (NJ)
  • New York (NY)
  • Oklahoma (OK)
  • Pennsylvania (PA)
  • Rhode Island (RI)
  • Texas (TX)
  • Virginia (VA)
  • West Virginia (WV)

The vehicle activation takes one hour for Texas and up to 25 hours for all other states from the list.

To add your rental vehicle to your Uproad account:

  1. Open the Uproad app and select “Vehicles” from the bottom menu

  2. Select “Add My Vehicle”

  3. Select “Add Rental Vehicle”

  4. Input the rental vehicle’s make, model, and license plate number.

Important: Your tolls will not be paid with your Uproad account until the vehicle is active. If you need to drive on a toll road immediately after receiving the rental vehicle, use a cash lane to avoid fines and charges.
